I'm pretty sure that nothing is better than freshly made bagels. They're just...perfect. The contrast between the slightly chewy crust and the almost pillowy center is a reason to wake up early.
So, to kick off our wonderful day of jazz age party-ing, we hit up
Kossar's Bialys and
Doughnut Plant for some carbohydrate deliciousness.

And I'll tell you a secret...we went there again Monday morning to have
more doughnuts. Because oh boy, they were great. Seriously great.
Ah, such a great trip! Anything with so much food, fun, laughter, champagne, hats, and 20s music, well, I daresay it should be repeated!

For sure! We both had a lot of fun planning our outfits.
And yes! Artisan doughnuts should really be everywhere. We have Union Square Donuts here, and wow, delicious.
