I thought about oiling them or sealing them with polyurethane, but there's a slight problem in that I don't have a space with good enough air circulation to do such treatments. But the next time I'm lucky enough to get back up to Maine, I think I'll have to collect a second batch!

I'm glad you like them! Lauren, they're anywhere from 2-4 inches long; not tiny, but not giant, either.
i love these gems. really nice pieces you got there. my tip, if you like to treat them, use essential oil, just a bid and rub it in good. makes them real smooth. I use bergamot with my driftwood jewlery.
