Jazz Age Party on Governor's Island - The Sights!

Morning started with the exciting task of getting ready, turning back the decades to 20s-ify ourselves.

Is my hat on right?  (also, check out the awesome art in our Airbnb room)

We headed out for doughnuts and bagels, and then took a walk down Manhattan towards our ferry back in time.

I adore this picnic set, so amazing!  We did bring a great foldable blanket, but I don't have a picnic basket quite yet...

The man himself, Bill Cunningham!  He loves to check out the Jazz Age Party every year, and while we were both photographed, we sadly didn't make his spread of partiers.

We were chatted up by "The Phonograph Boys" - two lovely gentleman that do phonograph music for parties (Michael Cumella and Mike the Barber --also photographed by The Sartorialist).  We each got a dance and a photo out of the deal.

If you want a bit of 20s in your life and are not close to a phonograph, The 1920s Network is an online radio that plays 20s music.
